The Rheumatology Research Foundation believes that every patient should have access to care and that discovering treatments and cures is a top priority. The Foundation is the largest private funder of rheumatology research and training in the United States, serving as a vehicle to support recruitment programs, fellowships, and innovative research at the most prominent institutions across the country.
We award grants to clinician investigators conducting innovative research that will lead to a future with more options for patients with rheumatic disease to live longer, healthier lives. We are also committed to ensuring patients have access to specially trained rheumatology professionals for generations to come through funding training and mentorship opportunities for medical students and fellows.
And, thanks to generous supporters like you, the Foundation has awarded:
- 3,729 awards totaling more than $180,000,000
- $16,200,000 in fellowship training to 497 fellows
- 156% ROI for research award recipients receiving subsequent NIH funding
The Foundation is a highly effective non-profit, maintaining efficiency in directing donor dollars to its mission and, for twelve consecutive years, has received Charity Navigator’s highest rating.
